James P. Hines, Senior (1943-2023)
Born and raised in Ohio, Jim received his undergraduate degree in Finance and a Masters degree in Accounting from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and his Juris Doctor of Law degree from the University of Florida.
While attending the University of Florida School of Law, Jim was a full-time professor in the Accounting Department of the University of Florida College of Business. In addition, Jim was selected as Executive Editor of the University of Florida Law Review. After law school, Jim served as an Attorney-Advisor for the United States Tax Court in Washington, D.C.
Jim was the founding partner of Hines Norman Hines, P.L., and worked in many of the firm’s practice areas, with an emphasis on Corporate and Business Law, Taxation, Asset Protection Planning, and Estate Planning.
Since his passing, the whole HNH staff continues to strive for Jim’s levels of dedication, diligence, and knowledge to honor his legacy.
